Tanglewood's new Winterleaf Black Shadow Super Folk cutaway has to be one of the most contemporary models they produce.

They have married a Solid African Mahogany top to a select African Mahogany back and sides and think they've created something very special.

The sound of this instrument is warm, rich, and high in Bass tones, a part of the register that many instruments lose when the body size is smaller.

The mahogany top makes such a difference and it’s voicing is perfect for straight acoustic playing or plugged in studio/live use.

They have put Grover machines, Tusq saddles, Elixir strings, and Premium Plus EQ systems onto each guitar to maximize its professional features and they hope it gives class-leading value for money.

To complete the job, they created the transparent smoky black gloss finish to wash over the rich mahogany and give a striking, visual appeal that will satisfy all contemporary players.
